SCCM Update Content Source Version and Stored Package Version
SCCM update content source uses both stored package version and source version. What is the difference? In this blog post I will explain just that.
STORED PACKAGE VERSION
Stored package version is the version of the *.pck file. Source version is the version that is stored in the database.
Stored package versionis the version of the compressed file.
This is the version that you can see in the SCCM 2007 Admin Console.
Source version is the version of the uncompressed file.
This version can only be obtained by using Reporting Services or by sending a query to the SCCM SQL database.
Sometimes there are mismatches between these.
